Easy Sweet Corn Bread

Servings:  About 9

 

3/4 cup corn meal

1 1/4 cup all-purpose flower

1/4 cup honey

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

1/4 cup vegetable oil, drippings, or other

 

Preheat oven to 400˚F, Grease pan, round or square (small or medium sized). Mix all dry ingredients.  Beat egg.  Add egg and milk and mix till all dry ingredients are a batter.  Pour batter into pan.  Place in oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

 

Serve warm.  Can be served with chili or with butter and maple syrup or honey.
